Studio Administrator for Creative agency in Central Bristol

Salary £18-20K – Flexible Hours – Additional Xmas paid holiday – Fabulous fun working environment with an office dog!

This role is a superb opportunity to join one of the fastest growing creative digital agencies in the UK. You will be based in central Bristol supporting their small team of busy designers, developers and digital marketing specialists. There is huge potential in this role! Not only is it an exciting place to work offering variety, a positive and fun team and daily social breaks, but you also have fantastic prospects to potentially develop your own career with them. Although this is primarily an administrative position, if you have a flair for design, photography, writing or you are a social guru, you will almost certainly be able to get involved in project work too.

Your job will be to look after the team and help them to grow the business further. It means being organised, planning ahead and being their front line person. The perfect candidate will want to throw themselves into the role, make suggestions to improve processes, be quick to learn IT, be ambitious and people focused to fit in with a team that is all about helping each other make working life really enjoyable. Training can be given in new skills for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

  • Taking calls, responding to emails and making appointments for Directors
  • Office administration, buying cakes and gifts for staff and key clients
  • Maintaining employee work training records
  • Managing office assistant / intern / work experience students
  • Monitoring and reporting outstanding debt
  • Assist with the reconciliation of accounts on Xero
  • Assist with running monthly payroll
  • Authorising and paying expenses
  • Processing invoices and arranging payment
  • Updating and monitoring Health & Safety spreadsheet
  • Assist with the induction of new starters
  • Carry out return to work interviews and exit interviews as instructed
  • Ordering stationery/goods as required
  • Taking minutes of the monthly team meetings
  • Creating and updating HR and Accounting processes on Confluence
  • Liaising with the landlord on building issues
  • Ensure kitchen is stocked and meeting room are kept in a tidy state
  • Posting letters and parcels
  • Helping the team to help themselves with gentle reminders and encouragement

What you will need

  • Great problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience dealing with confidential personal data (GDPR)
  • Calm under pressure

  • Experience of Xero accounting software
  • Experience of Confluence
  • Knowledge of health & safety
  • Experience communicating with clients
  • Writing processes experience
