People and Culture (HR) Manager

The role
This fantastic role comes with the opportunity for ownership of the whole people and culture function, including managing HR operations and systems and partnering with managers to ensure HR best practice. As a member of the management team, you will work closely with leaders across the business to ensure their people are supported. You will manage a small administration team and oversee the company’s involvement with local scholarship and internship programmes.
This is an integral role within the business and will provide exposure across the whole company, including involvement with their international People and Culture functions. As the company comes to the end of a significant period of recruitment, you will help cement their people and culture practices including how to remain an employer of choice. Discretion, a can-do attitude and emotional intelligence are all essential for this role. Main responsibilities
- Manage all employee paperwork and documentation, ensuring it is kept up-to-date
- Manage recruitment, including working with our recruiters to produce job listings, arrange and conduct interviews, and respond to candidates in a timely manner
- Produce employment documentation including offer letters and employee contracts
- Supporting the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding and exit
- Provide 1-on-1 performance coaching sessions across the business
- Manage and arrange interns for marketing, administration and technical consulting
- Manage the existing sports scholarship programme
- Manage policies alongside the Office Coordinator
- Support the CEO in people and culture strategy
- Lead a global project to align UK P&C function to other offices
- Own annual employer award submissions
- Line manage the Office Coordinator and Administration Intern
- Provide bi-monthly HR metrics reports to the CEO
Essential qualifications and experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Recruitment experience
- Employee records management experience
- Experience overseeing employee relations issues (e.g. disciplinary, grievance, termination)
- Experience working closely with a management team
- Strong understanding of basic business processes
Desired qualifications and experience
- CIPD qualified
- Degree educated
- Experience in a tech start up/scale up
- Previous experience providing reports for business meetings
