Hours 37.5 hours (either 9-5 or 8-4)

Do you have a proven track record working in account management and business development? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the busy, friendly sales team of a very successful company within events. You will be managing key accounts by building and maintaining existing long-term relationships with customers, gaining a good understanding of their needs and maximising sales opportunities wherever possible.

Job role

You will be liaising with all areas of the business to ensure the smooth running of your accounts using your initiative to find solutions and provide the best possible customer service.

  • Building and promoting strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Expanding the relationship with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their needs and objectives
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through outbound calling, networking and field visits especially within existing customer base
  • Resolving any issues and problems faced by customers
  • Preparing regular reports of progress and forecasts to the board of directors
  • Answering inbound sales calls and emails
  • Raising and following up on quotes, up-selling and cross selling where appropriate
  • Managing the day-to-day administration of the key accounts including ensuring that all sales are accurately recorded both in quantity, product time and hire period
  • Providing the highest level of customer service at all times
  • Serving as a link of communication between key customers and internal teams

Skills and Experience needed

  • Proven experience in a sales, account management or business development role
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Be a great team player whilst being able to work independently
  • Be quick thinking, outgoing and take initiative to solve any challenges that come your way
  • Have exceptional attention to detail and time management
