IT Support Analyst

£23,000 – £25,000 + benefits

Whiteley, Fareham, Southampton

This is a great opportunity to work with a superb discretionary wealth investment management company based in Whiteley. They are a highly successful, privately owned, LLP, with 3 offices in the UK, a channel islands regulated subsidiary and one on-shore and two off-shore fund entities.

The Role

We are recruiting an IT Support Analyst with the view to progress into a more technical role with experience.

The role will report to the IT Manager and the key areas of responsibility are as follows:

Dealing with user or customer IT related queries, including filtering, distributing and actioning IT support needs
Liaising with third party IT suppliers to deliver solutions
Providing hardware support
Provide 1st and 2nd line support for CRM applications
Deploying end user solutions to deliver immediate benefits
Production of testing and end user documentation
The Person

The successful candidate will be a delivery orientated and well organized individual. The successful candidate will have:

University degree, ideally in the area of computer science
1-2 years commercial experience in a technical support role
Technical background with evidence of some basic programming experience
Proactive to bring about continuous improvement, challenges the status quo and is not afraid to ask questions
Well organised and able to manage a busy work volume
Excellent communication skills and comfortable working with the end users of technology
Experience with document writing training documentation
Advanced Excel skills
Evidence of at least basic programming experience and willingness to build on this

Knowledge and experience of creating programmatic tools written in C# and/or VBA, and building, deploying and documenting end user solutions for non-IT functions
Experience of working in a financial services operational department (ideally within a wealth management context)
Evidence of improving business process through the use of technology solutions
Experience of user acceptance testing and writing test scripts
