Digital Content Executive – Circa £30K DOE – Bristol


Role purpose: To support, develop and implement the content marketing and communications strategies for this successful, growing Professional Services business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Where appropriate support in marketing initiatives that drive traffic, partner activation & engagement, leads that turn into sales opportunities that in turn deliver sales
  • Collaborates across different functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy to meet the sales & marketing strategy to deliver on the wider business objectives
  • Create the content a particular audience is looking for, or receptive to, and then to optimize the path to conversion
  • Editorial requirements include basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement. Development of editorial governance so content is consistent with the brand voice, style and tone
  • Support in the production of a content and editorial calendar and organization workflow
  • Channel management of digital content hubs and all supporting social channels including email / newsletter distribution. This person must understand the basic best practices of the main social media channels, which content and approaches work on each and why
  • Integration of content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand to demand
  • Executive presentations on the content strategy and results will be required
  • Write, edit and proofread copy for promotional materials within marketing campaigns
  • Keep abreast of current trends in marketing
  • Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition
  • Perform all stages of content production with the use of CMS systems as directed within the strategy

Person spec:

  • Excellent copy writing skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident and assured public speaker
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
  • The ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail are maintained at all times
  • Flexible attitude and ability to remain positive with changing priorities
  • The ability to take the initiative, develop their own ideas and work independently
  • Excellent IT skills, confident user of the Microsoft Office suite, CMS and email distribution software
  • Methodical and proactive approach to tasks, prioritising work as required
  • Must demonstrate a high level of professional integrity and strict confidentiality at all times
  • A degree (2:1 or higher) in a marketing, PR or related subject is essential
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a marketing or communications role is essential
  • A professional qualification in marketing or PR (CIM, CIPR, etc) is desirable
  • A background in the legal, financial or professional services sector is desirable
