Meet the Team

Lucy Bristow

is the Managing Director of Lucy Bristow Appointments. She has overall responsibility for the management of the organisation including staff, customers and budgets. Lucy leads the company along with the Operations Director, Heather Froud, to plan and direct the company’s strategy and develop the corporate culture for the organisation.

Lucy loves to spend time windsurfing and sailing and running half marathons. She adores her beautiful children, sunny days, good movies like Shawshank Redemption, Leon and Zulu, friends and family, laughter, freshly mown grass, a good night’s sleep and hugs! Her main pet hates are people who drive in the fast lane really slowly, Paris Hilton, waste, being late and bad customer service!

Most memorable placement: “Probably my first placement all those years ago. The client remains a loyal customer of ours after 29 years!”

Lucy’s favourite quote:

If at first you don’t succeed…then skydiving is probably NOT for you.

Heather Froud

is our Operations Director and studied Art and Media at Leeds University. She’s been at the agency for six years and works closely with Lucy.

In her spare time Heather is a budding author and is writing a children’s book about “Cedrick the Dragon” based on stories she used to make up for her children when she was too tired to read. She’s a fan of sunshine, Lyme Regis in winter, naughty spirited horses and dogs, and most of all – laughter. Her major dislike is grumbling!

Most memorable placement: “A very nervous part-time mum returner went to a filing job for us with a major blue chip organisation. After six months of temping there she was offered the role as PA to the Managing Director!”

Heather’s mantra for the day:

It’s a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it.

Katie Dawes

Katie has been with Lucy Bristow Appointments for over 7 years and is one of our Senior Consultants. She manages the Temporaries and Contracts Division and our new baby, Creative Bristow (www.creativebristow.com). After training initially on the permanent desk, Katie is entering her 5th year on the Temps and Contracts Division, alongside her bestie, Lisa Morgan. Katie loves the interaction and quick pace of managing temps and contracts for LBA and Creative Bristow……most probably because of the amount of talking she gets to do!

She is a Marketing graduate from Bournemouth University and is ‘home grown’. Katie spent her first 18 months with LBA being responsible for all the administration and resourcing within the office, still now taking pride in lecturing the team on their administrative faux pas’ and taking the title of our ‘Resident Guru’.

In her spare time Katie likes to jog and spend time with family and friends. She’s a fan of Chinese food, sunny days and Bank Holidays but hates baked beans and the word ‘penalised’!?

The best thing about working at Lucy Bristow Appointments? “Working with an amazing team and finding candidates the career they are looking for.”

Katie’s mantra for the day:

Smiling is my favourite, you make me smile, that makes you my favourite!

Belinda Hurdle

manages all things financial at HQ! She spent five years as a full time Finance Manager and has now set up her own business as a freelance bookkeeper and payroll provider, with Lucy Bristow as one of her favourite clients!

She’s a golf enthusiast who is Lady Captain of her club – we will be keeping a watchful eye on the British Open next year!

Belinda’s mantra for the day:

What’s the worst that can happen?

Lisa Morgan

Lisa has 13 years recruitment experience, having worked for a large international agency before joining LBA 8 years ago. She manages the Temporaries and Contracts desk with her doppelganger (brunette version), Katie Dawes and is one of LBA’s Senior Consultants.

She enjoys keeping fit, spending time with family and friends and shopping is a must! Lisa’s biggest bugbears are lateness and wine wasters, she also has an irrational fear of rats and has been known to stand on her desk and scream when being tricked by her colleagues! She also has an obsession with chocolate, the best way to her heart!

Her most memorable placement: “A candidate had been in the same role for 20 years and been made redundant. She was very low, lacked confidence and was scared of change. We spent a lot of time together, we re-wrote her CV, talked about her skills and experience and went through interview techniques. A senior role came in for an ‘Office Manager’ and she got the job! Now my candidate is a client of mine and is totally a different person, managing a team of 10, very confident and thinks it’s the best job she has ever had.”

Lisa’s mantra for the day:

Keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there is so much to smile about.

Danielle Paris

has many titles within our office, nost formally known as our Team PA, she manages all of the administration and resourcing at HQ! She also looks after all of our social media activity. She has a creative background within the arts, graduating from the Arts University Bournemouth.

As an avid foodie she enjoys cooking for friends and being cooked for (who doesn’t?!) visiting art galleries, music festivals and city breaks. Her dislikes include fresh coriander and bad drivers.

Best thing about working for Lucy Bristow Appointments:
‘Working for a small independent business with a great reputation and team – I am a big believer in supporting local independents!’

Danielle's mantra for the day

Creativity is contagious, pass it on!
