There is clearly much to be done to overcome the challenges of our current economic situation, and whatever our political views, we all have a common interest in wanting to stimulate economic growth which is the key to improving our prosperity.
With that in mind, I think the new schemes announced in the Autumn Statement concerning credit easing and infrastructure investment are to be welcomed. It was also good to hear a commitment to reform employment law because, even prior to the economic downturn, businesses were hesitant about taking on extra staff due to the onerous legal implications.
