Agency Workers Regulations

Posted on: October 4th, 2011

The Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) came into force on 1st October 2011 with the aim to give temporary workers equal treatment in the workplace.

Businesses and temporary workers should be aware of the implications of both day one rights and the 12 week qualifying period. Please go to our ‘Client Resources’ section on our website for a link to the official AWR guidance from BIS.

Here at Lucy Bristow Appointments we are committed to working with you to help interpret and implement the legislation. Temporary workers make an invaluable contribution to the economy and will continue to do so. Our priority is to make sure we produce the best possible support for our clients and candidates. As members of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) we are able to provide clarity and advice to our clients and ensure that we are all working within the letter and spirit of the new laws.
